SIXTY Cable Technicians Needed (Contract-to-Hire)!!!
Are you a meticulous and skilled technician with a passion for precision? We're looking for 60 dedicated Cable Technicians to join our team in Poway, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on site, building complex, large-scale cables (up to four miles long!) that are critical to our operations. Location: Poway, CA
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)
Compensation: Up to $26/hour
What you'll be doing:
• Assembling specialized cables, some extending up to four miles in length, following detailed specifications.
• Interpreting and accurately reading schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Utilizing various tools including hot tweezers, soldering irons, calipers, and tape measures with expertise.
• Adhering strictly to quality standards and detailed instructions to ensure the highest level of product integrity.
• Participating in comprehensive classroom training for two weeks to master cable building techniques before starting hands-on assembly.
What we're looking for:
• Proven experience in cable assembly or a similar manufacturing role.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics, blueprints, terminology, and specifications.
• Proficiency with common assembly tools such as hot tweezers, soldering irons, calipers, and tape measures.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Must possess a Soldering Certification.
• IPC-620 certification is highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work a 9/80 schedule and significant overtime, including Fridays and Saturdays, as needed.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance upon conversion to a full time employee.
