Company Overview: Join our dynamic team responsible for supporting the entire mainframe infrastructure of our organization. We’re committed to maintaining high-performance systems that drive our business forward. We’re looking for an experienced CICS Administrator or Systems Programmer to enhance our capabilities in managing CICS environments.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated CICS Administrator / CICS Systems Programmer with intermediate to senior-level expertise (5-15+ years of experience). This is a hands-on role focused on CICS systems programming, problem resolution, and system maintenance within a z/OS sysplexed operating system environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform CICS upgrades, installations, and patches for the mainframe.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex CICS-related issues.
Ensure the stability and performance of CICS systems, utilizing continuous improvement methodologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance CICS architecture and connectivity.

Must-Have Qualifications:
Experience: 5-15+ years of hands-on CICS systems programming experience in a z/OS sysplexed environment.
Knowledge: Intermediate-level understanding of CICS and how it interacts with OEM products.
CICS Architecture Expertise: Familiarity with performance testing, monitoring, operations, compliance, security, and connectivity.
Technical Proficiency: Understanding of the following products and features:
CICS Transaction Server
CICS Plex System Manager (CPSM, WUI)
VSAM RLS
CICS Web Services (CWS, Sockets, IPIC, TCPIP)
CICS Security (Keyring, Certificates, TLS, resource access, ACF2, RACF)
USS (Unix Systems Services)
CICS connectivity (LU6.2, MRO, ISC, CWS, Sockets, TCPIP, EXCI)
OEM Products Knowledge: Familiarity with CAFC, SYSII, Mainview, Xpediter, and Abend-aid/FX.
SYSPLEX and CICSPLEX Design: Understanding of design, architecture, and support.

Nice to Have:
Ability to read CICS dumps and traces.
