We are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Strategic Sustainability & Material Circularity to lead our efforts in building a cutting-edge, sustainable vehicle lifecycle. This director-level role is pivotal in shaping our future by optimizing the raw and recycled material supply chain, focusing on the application side of vehicle material circularity (not waste management). You will be instrumental in developing and implementing high-level strategies that enhance profitability and contribute to a futuristic recycling ecosystem within the US, aligning with our sustainability vision. You will be responsible for leading a team and driving strategic initiatives that will significantly impact our organization's sustainability goals.

Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership & Vision: Develop and articulate a comprehensive vision for sustainable material circularity, aligning with the company's overall strategic objectives.

• Raw Material & Recycled Material Supply Chain Management: Direct the development and management of the supply chain for raw materials and recycled materials, including plastics/resin, steel, and aluminum.

• Vehicle Material Circularity & OEM Collaboration: Establish and implement strategic initiatives to optimize the recycling and retention of valuable materials from a business perspective. Lead strategic collaborations with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure the integration of sustainable materials into new vehicle production.

• Strategic Planning & Profitability: Lead the analysis and strategic planning related to the impact of vehicle sales on material supply and profitability. Direct the development and implementation of our overarching sustainability strategy, encompassing the entire circularity of vehicles.

• Futuristic Recycling Ecosystem: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the evolving US recycling ecosystem and anticipate future trends.

Key Accountabilities:
• Business Strategy Development: Lead the identification of new potential markets and business opportunities within the Resource Circulation vertical, developing and implementing strategic initiatives through POC activity.
• Development of strategic alliances: Establish and cultivate high-level strategic partnerships for business development.
• People Management: Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development.
• Resource Management: Direct the allocation of labor and financial resources to achieve strategic goals.
• Communication: Serve as a key communicator, ensuring alignment and transparency across teams and with senior leadership.
• Budget Management: Oversee and manage the department's budget, ensuring financial accountability.

Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within raw material supply chain management, specifically within the automotive or related industries.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability strategies.
• Deep understanding of the application side of material circularity, with a focus on strategic sourcing and processing.
• Established network of relationships with steel mills and recycling facilities.
• Strong understanding of OEM processes and requirements for sustainable materials.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
