As a Field Engineer for the Mountain Region, you serve as the technical backbone for our client’s IT infrastructure across 47 airports, reservation facilities, and corporate departments. This is a high-impact, mobile role focused on maintaining seamless operations through expert repairs, troubleshooting, and IMAC (Installations, Moves, Adds, and Changes) services.

This position is ideal for a technical professional who enjoys a dynamic work environment, frequent regional travel, and the unique challenges of aviation technology.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Operational Support: Provide end-to-end technical support for desktop devices, applications, and peripherals within office, reservation, and airport environments.
• Aviation-Specific Tech: Install and maintain specialized airline equipment, including Kiosks, Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS), and Ramp Information Display Systems (RIDS).
• Infrastructure Maintenance: Implement and repair network devices, telephone systems, and multiple server platforms to ensure 24/7 connectivity.
• IMAC Services: Execute physical relocations and setups of IT infrastructure, including workstations, routers, and peripheral devices as dictated by service requests.
• Regional Coverage: Manage a heavy travel schedule to support the Mountain Region, participating in an on-call rotation that includes weekends and off-hour shifts.

Candidate Qualifications:
• Experience: 3+ years of equivalent IT experience (or 2–4 years of formal IT training).
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Windows workstations, MS Office Suite, and basic Network/Server architecture.
• Troubleshooting: Strong hardware and software diagnostic skills are essential.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to interface with various departments and airport personnel.
• Certification: CompTIA A+ Certification is preferred.
• Industry Background: Previous experience in an airline or aviation environment is a significant plus.

Physical & Logistics Requirements:
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the Mountain Region (minimal overnight stays).
• Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with relocating IT equipment.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.

Unlike a standard "help desk" or "desktop support" role, this position offers:
• Autonomy: You are the face of our client’s IT for the region, often acting as the primary expert on-site.
• Technical Variety: One hour you’re troubleshooting a Windows OS issue, and the next you’re inside a specialized gate kiosk or configuring a server.
• The Aviation Environment: You get to work behind the scenes in one of the most complex and exciting industries in the world.
