Commercial HVAC Service Technician
Location: Connecticut (Fairfield & New Haven Counties)

Technicians receive an additional $10 per hour service/travel bonus on top of their base pay. A company vehicle and gas card are provided, so there’s no out-of-pocket travel expense. You won’t need to report to the office daily—technicians dispatch directly from home to commercial job sites. Service calls are within Fairfield and New Haven counties, with an average travel time of about 30 minutes between jobs.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform diagnostics, service, equipment startup, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, customer-focused communication, and the ability to deliver reliable solutions across diverse systems and brands.

What You’ll Do:
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
Work with rooftop units, heat pumps, split systems, package units, hydrangea systems, VAV systems, and central plant operations.
Inspect systems and recommend efficient upgrades or repairs.
Run refrigeration piping, soldering, and brazing as needed.
Collaborate with technical service teams to determine solutions.
Accurately estimate time and materials for repairs and replacements.
Maintain a complete set of tools and test equipment.
Complete job documentation neatly and on time.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service needs.
Uphold safety standards and proper use of job site assets.
Deliver excellent customer service with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications
Valid Connecticut HVAC license (Sc, Sc, De, or De) required.
Valid OSHA 10 card.
5+ years of commercial service experience.
Strong knowledge of control systems, frequency drives, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and mission-critical cooling.
Understanding of safety requirements, applicable codes, and regulations.
Experience with commercial refrigeration systems a plus.
Ability to work overtime and flexible hours when needed.
