Laboratory Technician – Cleansing Product Testing
Location: Trumbull, CT 06611
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full-Time
Pay: $22–$25/hr
Duration: 8-month contract
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Laboratory Technician to support product testing in a pilot plant environment focused on cleansing formulations. This role involves hands-on work with formulations, meticulous documentation, and adherence to established laboratory protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform testing and evaluation of cleansing product formulations
-Collect, record, and organize experimental data in both paper and digital formats
-Create and maintain documentation in compliance with established procedures
-Enter and summarize results using Microsoft Excel and Word (charts, tables, reports)
-Maintain FDA paper files and documentation, organized by year and product
-Label and check FDA product samples (batch and UPC codes), file returned products appropriately
-Manage physical tasks such as unpacking, lifting, setting up bins in heated, temperature-controlled chambers
-Assist in ensuring all lab practices meet safety and procedural standards
Required Qualifications:
-Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field
-Prior lab experience, either academic or industry-based
-Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Ability to follow detailed experimental protocols and preserve data integrity
-Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods in a pilot plant environment
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-Familiarity with safe laboratory practices
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
-Experience working with cleansing or personal care formulations
-Prior exposure to FDA-regulated lab environments
-Familiarity with temperature-controlled sample storage and product labeling procedures
-Experience generating technical documentation using standardized templates
