Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious **Material Handler/Logistics Specialist** to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts and yard tractors, as well as handling various materials and chemicals. This position requires a strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Load and offload packaged materials efficiently and safely.
- Stage materials to support production needs and workflow.
- Operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and yard tractors.
- Maintain familiarity with material handling safety and hygiene protocols, especially when working with chemicals.
- Perform routine inspections and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
- Support process safety programs by participating in compliance audits, safety reviews, and risk assessments.
- Follow company directives and process safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for hazardous material handling, spill response, and cleanup activities.
- Utilize computer systems to complete training and documentation as needed.



Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating forklifts and yard tractors.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Hazardous Materials Handling Certification (CFR49) preferred but not required.
- Experience in material handling, chemical handling, or logistics.

**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and twisting in various environments.
- Use of stairs and occasional use of respiratory protection (must pass fit test requirements).
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to various temperatures and weather conditions.

**Skills and Competencies:**

- Self-directed work ethic with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Commitment to safety and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Basic computer skills for training and documentation purposes.
