Remote Position working EST Hours
Overview: As a key member of a technology project team, the Technical Writer will collaborate to understand business requirements and the functionality of software applications and hardware products. The role involves planning, writing, and revising user documentation for diverse audiences, including advisors and investor clients. The Technical Writer may also lead or coordinate the work of other writers and may be assigned to specific business technology groups or application suites.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather and analyze software requirements, including program interactions and application interfaces.
Assess user needs, business processes, and software functionalities to create and deliver relevant end-user documentation.
Provide recommendations for user interface design, including on-screen text and system messages, to enhance user adoption and technology use.
Support project managers, business analysts, application developers, user interface designers, education specialists, editors, and technology consumers across various business units.
Coordinate deliverables from multiple writers, ensuring consistency and quality across all documentation.
Qualifications:
Degree or certificate in English, technical communications, or a related field.
Technical and business knowledge across multiple disciplines and processes.
Experience ranging from 1 to 10 years, preferably in a software development environment.
Proficient in written communication with a solid understanding of technical communication methods and best practices.
Strong planning and organizational skills, along with research, analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
