Safety & Security Manager who will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and managing safety, security and emergency preparedness.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety, security, and occupational health programs and procedures in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies.
• Conduct workplace evaluations and risk assessments, and safety and security incident investigations to identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with appropriate departments.
• Evaluate and maintain the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) program.
• Manage workplace injury reporting and workers’ compensation submissions, ensuring timely follow-up with employees and insurance providers.
• Maintain accurate OSHA records, including OSHA 300/300A logs.
• Collect, analyze, and report safety and security data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement and report internally as needed (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual updates).
• Lead the Safety Committee and monthly safety meetings, and support employee safety training and retraining initiatives as needed
Education and Qualifications:
• Experience: 3+ years in an Occupational Health and Safety role.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) required
Proficient skills and effective use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge and understanding of Federal OSHA, State, and Local safety regulations.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety programs.
• Knowledge of working with chemicals.
• Ability to assess and audit various workplace environments for potential hazards.
