We're looking for a Senior Certification Engineer for a long-term contract position in Southside Atlanta that pays up to $61/hr (depending on experience).

This role focuses on making sure aircraft modifications (especially related to cabin interiors) meet FAA safety regulations. It’s part technical writing, part project coordination, and part engineering review/testing.

Day-to-Day:
• Writing certification documents that show aircraft changes are safe and meet federal rules.
• Creating test plans and reports—especially for things like flammability and cabin safety.
• Helping organize and witness physical tests to prove safety.
• Working with FAA regulations, especially Part 25 (transport aircraft standards) and Part 21 (certification procedures).
• Coordinating with teams, suppliers, and the FAA to gather data and respond to questions.
• Mainly working on a program for wide-body aircraft called "8330".

What the Manager is looking for:
• A degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or something similar).
• Ideally at least 5 years of engineering experience, with certification work.
• Knowledge of FAA certification processes and experience with interior aircraft designs is a big plus.
• Strong technical writing, project coordination, and Microsoft Office skills.
