Short Description:

The Division Order Analyst will establish and maintain accurate Division of Ownership Interest records by analyzing various legal ownership documents such as but not limited to: title opinions, assignments, deeds, estate documents, lease. 

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Analyze various legal ownership documents such as title opinions, assignments, deeds, estate documents, and leases.
  • Research and analyze suspense accounts and title issues, directs appropriate action to cure title deflects and release suspended funds; 
  • Process interest transfers based on title documents to maintain a correct division of interest; 
  • Assist in training and mentoring Division Order coordinators; 
  • Responds to division order inquiries to resolve revenue discrepancies, verification of well interest, and explanation of interest; 
  • Determine working interests and burdens associated with interests based on title analysis of deeds, assignments, purchase and sale agreements, probate documents, leases and pooling declarations; 
  • Develop and maintain revenue decks; 
  • Maintain and correct divisions of interest when payout and recompletions occur; 
  • Communicate and correspond with interest owners; 
  • Work closely with members from other departments; 
  • All other duties as assigned by the Division Order Manager.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor degree in Business or related field
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Division Order Analyst
  • Software: Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Organization: Must be well organized and flexible
  • Team Player: Possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Multitasking: Ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Communication: Ability to communicate both written and verbal
  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone, and fax; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
