Short Description:

A Product Developer is responsible for researching, designing, and refining new products to meet market demands and business objectives. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and manufacturing, to develop prototypes, test materials, and ensure product feasibility. Product Developers analyze consumer trends, gather feedback, and make data-driven improvements to enhance product performance and appeal. They also oversee the production process, ensuring quality control and cost-effectiveness. Creativity, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of industry trends are essential for success in this role.

Duties / Responsibilities:

•    Creating and enhancing products that fill a niche in the market or allow their clients to remain competitive.
•    Determining product specifications according to a number of various factors and uses.
•    Supporting manufacturing and design activities by developing prototypes for products in development.
•    Consulting market research materials and sales data to ensure that products are viable and competitive.
•    Submitting proposals and designs for evaluation by the project team and management before moving to the next stage.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Design.
  • Experience: Proven working experience as a Product Developer or in related field.
  • Protyping Equipment: Be comfortable using prototyping equipment (3D printers and CNC machines).
  • Design Software:Be comfortable using Design software (SOLIDWORKS and Autodesk).
  • Team Oriented: Work well within a team.
  • Creative Thinking: Creative and innovative thinking skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills.
