The A&P Mechanic position requires a highly skilled professional specializing in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft components. This role involves thorough knowledge of aviation regulations and adherence to safety standards. A&P Mechanics collaborate with a team of technicians to ensure the airworthiness of aircraft, employing precise troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to address mechanical issues. Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on aircraft to detect and address potential issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural problems.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, engines, landing gear, and avionics systems.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs in compliance with aviation regulations.
  • Conduct testing and calibration of aircraft systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Collaborate with a team of aviation professionals to ensure aircraft are safe and operational.
  • Comply with and stay up-to-date on FAA regulations and safety protocols.
  • Use specialized tools and equipment for precision maintenance work.
  • Stay current with advances in aviation technology and industry best practices.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Certification: FAA-issued Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; formal education from an aviation maintenance technician school is preferred.
  • Problem Solving: Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to work as part of a team and document maintenance activities.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technology and regulatory requirements.
  • Physical: Physical fitness and dexterity to perform tasks that often require bending, lifting, and reaching in tight spaces.
  • Compliance: Compliance with strict safety standards and a commitment to upholding aircraft safety and airworthiness.
