Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and communicate statistical findings to medical professionals, researchers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by identifying and addressing errors or inconsistencies.
  • Use statistical software and programming languages (e.g., R, SAS) for data analysis.
  • Write research reports, scientific papers, and grant proposals that detail statistical methods and results.
  • Stay updated on the latest statistical techniques and their application in the field of biostatistics.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including epidemiologists, clinicians, and laboratory scientists.
  • Ensure research studies comply with ethical and regulatory guidelines, including informed consent and privacy protection.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: Master's or Ph.D. in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Programming: Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages such as R, SAS, or Python.
  • Statistical Analysis: Strong mathematical and statistical analysis skills, with a focus on clinical or biomedical applications.
  • Statistical Methodologies: Knowledge of clinical trial design, statistical methodologies, and data collection in the healthcare field.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to convey complex statistical concepts to non-statistical audiences.
  • Statistical Software: Familiarity with statistical software and tools commonly used in the healthcare and research sectors.
  • Attentional to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle and analyze large datasets.
  • Bioethics: Familiarity with regulatory requirements for clinical research and knowledge of bioethics.
